MCRP Internship
Army Minority College Relations Program (MCRP)
Vista Sciences Corporation (VSC) is currently soliciting resumes from college juniors and seniors in various fields including science, engineering, computers, finance and business administration for participation in a 10 week intern program at various Army facilities. The 10 week program starts in June 2010 and will end in August 2010. Army facilities where the interns would be assigned include Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois and the Crane Army Ammunition Facility at Crane, Indiana. Other possible locations include: Anniston, Alabama; Tooele, Utah; McAlester, Oklahoma; Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Blue Grass Army Depot, Kentucky.
Assignment at specific Army facilities will depend upon the work to be accomplished and the qualifications of the intern personnel. Selection and assignments of interns to specific Army locations will be made by Vista Sciences Corporation (VSC) in consultation and with the approval of the Army. A $500 weekly stipend will be paid to the interns and lodging and transportation costs will be paid by the intern program.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Students are matched to job descriptions based on their major or minor interests, and their work experience. Students are place in various offices and administrations in support of the U.S. Army. Students are given daily work assignments related to the job description. Jobs have included mechanical engineering, environmental sciences, biology, chemistry, communications and computer science, as well as business fields such as accounting, marketing, human resources, international affairs, contracting, and law. The list of jobs changes every year and VSC works with the potential student intern and the Army Supervisor to find the right match.
Enrollment Status
Students must be currently enrolled in a four year program or have graduated within the previous 6 months from a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), or a Tribal College or University (TCU). Students should be at least a College Junior and maintain a Cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0 or higher (depending on the job description). Students can be enrolled in an undergraduate or a graduate school program. Students must pass a background check.
Citizenship
This program is open to U.S. Citizens only. Students with F-1 visas and green card holders are not eligible to participate.
